Mark H. Manweiler has over 22 years experience in litigation, with a success rate of over ninety percent in his jury trials. Mark focuses on criminal law, personal injury, commercial litigation, and family law, in both state and federal courts. Mark has extensive experience in all areas of criminal law and is a recognized authority on tort claims against governmental entities and civil claims for sexual abuse. Mark has an AV Martindale-Hubbel rating.
Mark has successfully litigated at both the trial and appellate court levels. A representative case is Sterling v. Bloom, 111 Idaho 211, 723 P.2d 755 (1986). In 1998, Mark obtained a jury verdict of $683,135 in a slip and fall case involving a knee injury. Mark also has extensive experience in advising high net worth individuals regarding business transactions and general legal matters. More recently, Mark represented the former Mayor of the City of Boise in a pair of complex, high profile criminal cases, obtaining an acquittal in one case and an extremely favorable sentence in the other. Mark regularly represents attorneys, judges and police officers in their personal legal matters.
M. Sean Breen is a graduate of Idaho State University and the University of Idaho College of Law. Sean is an experienced 12 year practitioner with an emphasis in family law, worker's compensation, personal injury law and general practice. Sean practiced in Idaho Falls, Idaho before joining the firm in 1999.
James K. Ball served 5 years as a Deputy Ada County Prosecuting Attorney. He specialized in felony and misdemeanor cases involving complex drug conspiracies, violent offenses and theft related crimes. James has extensive experience in adult and juvenile matters and is regularly appointed by the Federal District Court of Idaho to handle complex multi-defendant criminal cases. He also served two years as a lobbyist for the Idaho Prosecuting Attorney's Association where he drafted and sponsored numerous Idaho Laws. James has argued cases before the Idaho Court of Appeals, Idaho Supreme Court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. James's areas of practice include adult and juvenile criminal law, family law, divorce and personal injury litigation.
Robert B. Hancock is an honors graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law, and a member of the Idaho State Bar, State Bar of California, and Idaho Trial Lawyers Association. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable John Allen Houston, United States Magistrate Judge in San Diego. Rob is also a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Idaho. His practice includes business transactions and litigation, class actions, criminal law and family law.
